Rev. Dr. Dominique A. Robinson points:

As we move from Protest to Policy please keep these in mind:

  1. Radical contextualization
  2. Prioritization of mental health - cumulative trauma (more than a double pandemic)
  3. Deepened theology - STUDY BLACK RELIGIOUS SCHOLARS
  4. Pluralistic and inter-faith considerations - MUSLIM, BUDDHIST BLACK LIVES MATTER TOO
  5. PPE and healthcare as a form of hospitality - the protests didn’t eradicate the pandemic stay safe
  6. Clarity on where your church/org stands on “taboo” subject matters - please remember inclusive love ethic
  7. ALL BLACK LIVES MATTER (women, children, queer, disabled, etc.)
  8. Intentional collaboration
  9. Tis the season to send your child to an HBCU!!!!
Suggestions from Sis. Vajaah Parker:

People need a way to get started ie: google account - gmail address for your church

  1. Cash App for business
  2. You will need a budget for technology
  3. See technology as an opportunity for us to fulfill a Biblical mandate
  4. goggle account
Questions and Answers:
  • There are many of our members, particularly our Elders cannot participate in the street protests due to COVID-19 concerns and/or physical limitations. What are some ways they can be involved/support this movement?
  • What resources are available for pastors who desire to minister to the mental health issues resulting from this pandemic era and protests of racial injustices that continue to plaque our society, particularly our young people who are growing up in a culture that limits socialization?
    • Dr. Xellex Rivera is a good resources to discuss that with you directly
